Well I have an opportunity for the first time to race legally……..
I have always loved driving and riding and am fortunate enough to own both a Kawasaki Z900 which is a bit of an iconic motorcycle and also a Porsche 911 Turbo ‘S’ that sits just shy of 500 bhp.
They both provide me with many joyful moments and I am just as happy cruising around as I am opening up on a quiet country road (legally of course). But now I have been invited to a sprint, in fact its a 1 mile sprint at Ipswich airfield and to be honest I am really tempted.
You see I always wondered how fast the Turbo might go as its not limited, its completely standard as well and I have never taken it to a track day because I love the car and couldn’t bear to shred it rounds Brands Hatch, its the last of the Porsche 996 Turbo’s and also being a convertible means its rare as a car, that last phase of 996 Turbo’s were also upgraded as an ‘S’ which gives you Carbon Composite Brakes and lots of extra horses too.
This is different though as its a sprint and it is just possible that I could hit 200 mph over 1.5 miles…..
Its a straight line too, the competition though is pretty amazing so I have no illusions there with 700bhp Skylines and even a Ford Granada at 800BHP and 190 mph!!!!!
That is not important though, I always wanted to break 200mph in a car and just maybe this is my chance.
Here are my two lovely adrenaline machines….

And below is my beloved Kawasaki a Z900 in green the only colour to have!!
