This is a post about an event I attended for a hog roast in Ipswich, it was done by my son who runs Parkers Hog Roast (call 07786 610610 to book)
It is the first of two posts that I am doing after I spent the weekend with my son as he ran two events for his hog roast business, now of course you would expect me to work on his marketing but I was intrigued to find out what its like to actually do a hog roast event itself.
The first event was for a client wanting a hog roast in Ipswich, in fact to be precise it was in Whitton in Ipswich and it was a garden party, the garden was truly amazing and I must confess that I left most of the hog roast setup and cooking to Terry whilst I socialiseed and admired the wonderful garden.
Ipswich is close for us and it took just 30 minutes to get to the venue, the event was a garden open day but family had come from miles to be at this annual event. The hog roast went down well with promises of more bookings which made me very proud as my son beamed.
He had also presented some designer cupcakes which were themed on garden flowers, these were so amazing that people were admiring them all afternoon with the delicate garden flowers made from icing sugar representing flowers from the garden.
I was made very welcome too and I must say that I would definately be up for going again, this was a rural part of Ipswich and the house was also lovely.
On the left is just one cupcake from the presentation box and the added fun here is that Parkers Hog Roast do not tell their customers they are going to get a complimentary box of these very special cakes so the reactions are really great.
