I noticed some very interesting backlinks the other day when I analysed one of our so called competitors, SEO Positive. Advertising a very ethical service and claiming to do everything as a white hat agency it was particularly amusing to find that they have been scraping our client sites and posting content to domains that link back to their own website.
These domains also have links to their own client and some other spammy directories they are creating, of course this will find its way to Mr Cutts but for me its yet another example of people who bring our industry into disrepute!!
the SEO industry is littered with bad practice and mis-selling to the point where it resembles the life insurance industry in the 80’s, this one more example of trying to short cut success to peddle poor SEO practice.
The laughable thing is that their process will just get barred anyway but one would hope they do not get too many slices of marketing budgets from innocent under informed marketing directors.
