Douglas Carswell

Well today I went with Catherine to see Douglas Carswell to discuss the problems we have had with Essex Police and Tim Newcomb in relation to the violent assaults on our daughter.

I was very suprised by his approach and I listened intently to his views on the subject, Douglas also listened to what we had to say, I was very encouraged by his support and expect him to follow his promises through because he was very sincere.

I found that Douglas had a very good grasp of the incompetence of the system as a whole and made some statements that I fully concur with.  I understand now that he was totally misled by Tim Newcomb and to be fair to Douglas the word of a police chief would carry some weight.

It seems that there is a wider issue regarding the CPS that blights our everyday life and it is seemingly faceless desk bods that are deciding the fate of cases that are placed in front of them and the decisions are based on budgets rather than attempting to prosecute real offenders.

Douglas gave us plenty of time in his meeting and took notes from our documents showing the official incidents and the court papers proving that we never dropped the case.

To his credit Douglas seemed very put out by the lack of action against this thug and was somewhat perplexed.

My opinion of Douglas Carswell is that he stood up to be counted and even responded publicly at risk of bad publicity, this is much more than Tim Newcomb and the rest of Essex police have done. I recommend that anyone who has a wider issue that they cannot progress and especially one that is the result of police injustice that they should contact Douglas and see if he can help.

As a businessman with more than 50 employees I have had a lot of experience with authorities of various sectors and I can honestly say that Mr Carswell was true to his word in our meeting and for that I thank him.

I suspect that should we not get progress on the disgraceful ineptitude of the police force that this will go to the home office.

Thank You D.C.
