Corporate Events –
I am currently lobbying the staff to try and get our corporate events manager to allow a track day!!
Yes thats what I call a cunning plan, you see if I can get others to suggest it then the corporate events manager will not be able to acuse me of abusing my position as the boss to influence staff outings. You see at High Position we are pretty democratic which is generally a really good thing but it does have its disadvantages.
Having corporate days set aside to team build my staff is really brilliant and the right way to create a really buzzing work culture, its changed from a few years ago when corporate days out for team building consisted of Karting or Paintball because we were all blokes and the company didn’t have that much money.
Things are different now, the company has a healthy cashflow but now we also have 60 people and about 50% are girls too, that makes the boy racers a minority. This means that a track day on a very fast motorcycle is a little bit of a longshot….
There is more than one way to skin a cat though so watch this space
