corporate events

Whats my Idea of a Corporate Event?

Well to be honest it would have to incorporate adrenalin, therefore some danger and lots of speed are probably the two most important ingredients. If I were arranging a corporate event for High Position then it would most likely be centred on a track day.

Of course thats why I am not allowed to have much influence in these decisions, we have a corporate events manager and though I am a director and founder member I am prohibited from making suggestions :) I appreciate why of course because a track day on a motorcycle would leave us needing to fill a few bums on seats afterwards.

An event like that would cull lots of staff so it remains nothing more than a daydream.

If I were the events manager then the event would go like this…..

Turn up at Brands hatch in early summer arriving the night before and staying at a lovely country inn, all beverages would be corporate hospitality as would food, merriment and banter would follow before retiring to my room, of course refreshments would be non alcoholic and the need for an early night would follow some road racing footage from the history of the IOM TT.

Next morning early rise for a full English and then at Brands Hatch for 9.30am.

Then some tutorial and practice under the guide of one of my heros such as Kenny Roberts, Barry Sheene (never forgotten) , Mike Hailwood and Freddie Spencer.

Then onto the track with my trusty GSX-R 750 for a whole days racing plus lots of footage for posterity.

A look at my bike below shows in a moment that it was built for corporate track days, all I need is for my corporate events manager to let me do the organising!!
