Shaun thank you for responding to my query it is very much appreciated; along with your response and the reponses from some of your other readers as well as other people I have come into contact with I have some reassurance in knowing I am not alone in my experiences. To say I was (and still am) shocked, traumatized, in disbelief and despair at what happened to me when I needed help is indeed an understatement. I urge people and hope your other readers do to have any letters to MP’s witnessed and countersigned, any in person meetings, even initial contacts whom ever they are with have someone with you to witness events.

Douglas never got involved, he made all the right noises but it was never helpful in any way and dropped it like a stone, you see he loves getting publicity for easy stunts but is not going to get involved in anything political with local authority and police issues that is not superficial.

Having read the response from Douglas Carswell of the 14 Aug 2009 I looked for news of whether his invitation was taken up and if so what the outcome was but so far one does not appear to have been posted. If you able to would you update?

Hi There, I am glad you found my blog informative, I never did get my money back and despite pretending to make an effort to resolve it Renew Insurance never actually spoke to me. I will leave this blog in place so other people who have had an unfortunate experience can share it too, if they ever bothered to contact me and resolve the problem I would be the first person to publish the facts in a more positive light but I guess they are just not bothered.

hm im due for renewel soon and im with renew!!! luckily i havent had a problem yet!! i will not be renewing with them and i will be informing them the reason is due to your blog! ill even happily pass them the link to this page lmao!!!!

We have always used Curry’s, but will never again, they were so rude when we went to buy our son a new cooker, so having always used Curry’s in the past, that’s where we went, we chose the cooker, we approached the salesman and asked about buying one, his instant reply was that there is a £20 delivery charge on top, which we said we did not need as we would collect from the store, we were told it was now company policy what ever way you did it would cost you £20, my husband then approached the manager and was told it was now company policy and all salesman had been briefed today, if it is not in store it was £20 delivery and they were the cheapest store and everybody was doing it now, so it would be £20 delivery, we said no thankyou went in to Comet’s where we really felt like they wanted our business and got the same cooker, no delivery charge and the cooker was £30 cheaper, but most of all no rudeness from the salesman or the manager. With the way sales are today if Curry’s carry on like that they won;t be around much longer, you have lost what was happy shoppers but BYE CURRY’S we will not shop with you ever again.

I just wanna comment about the argument of the first link rule. I read the article from SEOMOZ and from my perspective, I think it is kind of overrated. SEOs are forgetting the true value of links which is leading visitors to other useful websites. Once I asked a guy in a forum what is the purpose of a link and he answered me: For getting higher rankings on Google. Obviously that webmaster is building his site for a machine and not for their readers. By common sense, the same link distributed within a page has a greater chance to get click so it gets a higher pagerank right?. Well the black magic SEO still works, on the other hand I hate finding the same annoying link every paragraph. Just my thoughts. Loved your blog subscribed!Daniel´s last blog ..Tube Socks

In the end, it is not good business to guide people towards the Grey or Black area of SEO. Somehow, the blame will come back, and haunt you, from one angry customer, whose site got banned by Almighty Google using the techniques from the Dark Side.
